The use of a stabiliser is recommended to avoid stresses caused by the oxyacetylene cutting.

Use:

For the construction of moulds and mould carriers, large-scale parts, support plates, guides, high-resistance machine components, and hydraulic blocks. Agricultural machinery and machine parts subject to little wear. This steel tempers well and can be used in parts tempered by induction that require 55 HRC surface hardness. For instance, it can be used in guides and slides for any type of machine tools.

S355 JS+N

Weldable with a multitude of systems. This sheet metal is ideal for cold forming, both in steel rollers and bending presses. Optimal properties for all types of machining.

Use:

For the construction of superstructures, underground mining, bridge building, hydraulic works, construction of tanks, machinery and, in general, all types of parts that require a resistance of between 52 and 62 KG/mm2.

Wear-resistant steels

These are high-strength, alloyed, tempered and tempered anti-wear steels ideal for all types of applications that require high wear resistance, such as tools and industrial machinery.

AU 13% Mn

Wear-resistant Mn austenitic steel. It is supplied in austenitic or hyper-temperate state with sensitisation treatment over 1000º C and rapid cooling in water. This produces an austenitic steel structure with an approximate resistance of 100 Hg/mm2, with excellent tenacity and elongation. Friction or impact to its surface gives it wear-resistant properties.

Use:

Shot blasting machines and parts, hammers, clamps, top plates in mills and grinders, hammers in the cement industry, ceramic and mining, railway points, wear plates, and construction of electromagnets.

HB-280

HB-280

Wear-resistant tempered and hardened steel, characterised by its high resistance to abrasion and impact. Its high mechanical resistance, high tenacity and excellent weldability make this one of the most versatile wear-resistant steels, perfect for a multitude of uses.

Use:

For all applications susceptible to moderate wear caused by the continuous impact or friction of hard particles like: rocks, gravel, sand, minerals and ferroalloys.

HB-400

HB-400

Wear-resistant tempered and hardened alloyed steel, characterised by its resistance to abrasion and impact, as well as by its high mechanical resistance, good moldability and excellent weldability. It is the most used steel for a wide variety of applications.

Use:

For all applications susceptible to high wear levels caused by violent impacts or the continuous friction of hard particles like: rocks, gravel, sand, minerals, ferroalloys, carbons and powders.

HB-450

HB-500

HB-500

Wear-resistant tempered and hardened alloy steel, characterised by its extremely high resistance to abrasion and impact. Its high mechanical resistance and good weldability make it the optimum choice for extreme cases of high impacts combined with severe abrasions.

Use:

For all applications susceptible to high wear levels caused by violent impacts or the continuous friction of hard particles like: rocks, gravel, sand, minerals, ferroalloys, carbons and powders.

High-elastic limit steels

High-elastic-limit hardened and tempered steel, characterised by a guaranteed elastic limit of 700 or 890 Nw/mm2m, with high mechanical resistance and good tenacity, making it the ideal steel for all types of constructions subjected to considerable static or dynamic mechanical stress.

AU-690

High-elastic-limit hardened and tempered steel, characterised by a guaranteed elastic limit of 700 Nw/mm2m, with high mechanical resistance and good tenacity, making it the ideal steel for all types of constructions subjected to considerable static or dynamic mechanical stress.

Use:

Due to its extreme toughness and elastic limit, it is recommended for use with welded constructions or machines that are subjected to high levels of either static or dynamic mechanical stress.

Construction of high resistance hangars, ventilators, cyclones and windmills, movable crane parts, chassis, telescopic arms, backhoe arms and loaders, framing subject to combined stresses, bridge elements, lightening of metallic structures by reducing dead weight.

AU-890

High-elastic-limit hardened and tempered steel, characterised by a guaranteed elastic limit of 890 Nw/mm2m, with high mechanical resistance and good tenacity, making it the ideal steel for all types of constructions subjected to considerable static or dynamic mechanical stress.

Use:

Due to its extreme resistance and high elastic limit, it is recommended for use with welded constructions or machines that are subject to high levels of either static or dynamic mechanical stress.

The advantages of high elastic limit steels are particularly important given that, not just the production cost, but also the operating and productivity costs of a construction are affected by the mechanical characteristics of the material.

The profitability of the steels described is best illustrated by the manufacturing of mobile and fixed cranes, hoisting equipment, groundwork machinery and heavy vehicles, rippers and shanks for Bulldozers, clamps for manoeuvres in large blocks of quarries or ports, large Dumpers, ventilators for heavy manufacturing. For all types of earth-moving machinery and public works.

1. Chemical composition (See technical data sheet).

2. Applications:Moulds for high-in-demand plastics, high-strength inserts for moulds that are subject to wear caused by abrasion. All types of cutting tools, for instance, stamps for cutting plastics and sheet metal of up to 6 mm in width, and tools for threading.Wear strips.

3. Supply conditions:230 HB>775 N/mm2 is recognized as the maximum. For large-scale moulds it is recommended to wait to temper and harden until after pre-grinding.
